Alison Krauss started her music career early and was a winner of local contests by the age of 10. Her first recording was her first album at fourteen. She was signed in 1985 by Rounder Records. Her first solo album was released in 1987. The album was also a part of the group Alison Krauss Union Station where she still performs. Later, in 1989, her first solo album came out with them.
