In the year 2015, at age 19, she released her debut single, Here. The single garnered a lot of acclaim and was well received both by critics and listeners. In that same year she dropped her debut album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being one of five original tracks that peaked at Billboard charts including The Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. The song was particularly memorable due to her interview with the Rap-Up show, many fans were inspired by her story of doubting herself and learning how to be a better person. Cara has a reputation for her messages on mental health, kindness and self-love in her songs. Everything stems from her personal experiences as she struggled with mental health issues and insomnia. Reuters said that she described the album "half turbulent, and half finished". Her development was assisted by therapy. She encourages others when they need to ask for support. Alessia Cara is a Canadian artist who was born the 11th of July, 1996 to parents from Italian heritage. Her parents bought her a new guitar, which she used to develop her passion for music. She began covering her favourite songs at age thirteen to show that world that she had the skills and the courage necessary to be an artist. Sweater Weather became her most popular cover. The record label EP Entertainment EP Entertainment, noticed her and allowed her write songs.
