Amber Benson (born April 14 70 years ago) is a famous American actor, performer also a writer, director and actor. Most famously, she is known for her part as Tara Maclay on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and she has also produced and performed in her own movies Chance as well as Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she starred in Kiss the Bride. Benson was born January 8 1977, in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle is her sister and an artist. Benson, whose father is Jewish and her mother a Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue. Benson's acting career has been booming following the ending of Buffy. Benson was a part of movies like The Killing Jar, and shows such as Morganville The Series. Behind the camera she used her writing abilities into the Ghosts of Albion series and directed on projects like The Killing Jar in 2010 and Drones. Buffy claims that after taking time to count and locate the Slayers, she discovered more than 1800 Slayers all over the world of which 500 are associated with The Scooby Gang. Slayers are now able to be revived once they attain the right age. Soledad, for example was awakened at her sixteenth. Ruth Connell has been cast as Rowena for Season 10 Supernatural.
