American actor and rapper Earl Simmons was born December 18 in 1970. He died April 9 2021. He began his rap career in the early 1990s , and released the album debut It's Dark and Hell Is Hot in 1998, to both critical acclaim and commercial success. It sold 251,000 copies within its first week of its release. The best-selling album of DMX,... and Then There Was X, was released in 1999. The album featured the top-selling single "Party Up (Up in Here). His singles in 2003, "Where is the Hood At?" Commercially, his singles from 2003 "Where the Hood Is?" and "X Gon"Give It to Ya" were also very successful. The artist was the first to make an album No.1 five times in one week on the Billboard 200 charts. Seven times DMX has sold more than 74 million records across the globe. [8] DMX was in movies such as Belly, Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Cradle 2 the Grave as well as Last Hour. He played DMX: Soul of a Man in 2006's reality TV show. It was broadcast on the BET cable television network Never Die Alone. In 2003, he published a book of his memoirs called E.A.R.L. : The Autobiography of DMX. 9. DMX was just 14 when he began beatboxing at Ready Ron. After serving time for the theft of the dog, he started to write lyrics of his own. He also played at the local recreation center for children younger than 14 years old. While in prison , he was convicted of carjacking. he spent almost all his time writing lyrics. He also began rapping with K.Solo. 3] After he was released in the summer of 1988 the rapper began creating and selling mixtapes of his own in which he rapped over the music from other songs. He also sold them on streets that helped him establish a fan base locally all over New York. Percee P and DMX appeared on The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show 1991, where they improvised. [15The 15-year-old DMX would later release a demo tape that featured "Spellbound" as well as "Critical Condition", "Three Little Pigs", "The Original Author of Spellbound" and "Unstoppable Force". Jay-Z, Ja Rules, and Mic Gérardo were featured as guests on the underground hit "Time to Build" from Mic Geronimo in the year 1995. DMX died of a cocaine-induced heartattack on April 9, 2021.
